I am a student and I am learning to choose abundance over scarcity every time!
The dictionary defines Abundance as, ‘an ample quantity’. However, the statement that I like best is, ‘Abundance is relative degree of plentifulness.’ Note: the key word is ‘relative’.
Scarcity, on the other hand is defined as, ‘a very small supply, when there is not much of something’. I like to call it Abundance with limits.
Your approach in life can be either with the belief of Abundance or Abundance with limits (Scarcity).

Like me if you have grown up with versions of that statement, chances are you believe in scarcity or abundance with limits. We carry this energy of limited abundance in our daily life, in our decision making and our actions. So applying this belief would mean constantly rushing to gather as much as you can now (its abundant now) because tomorrow it may not be available.
Limited Abundance would mean we see scarcity in everything. Not enough of :-
• Opportunities to make it big
• Good men or women to choose from
• Minerals & forest
• Love, compassion, Integrity in the world, etc

The human mind is able to believe information is true, based on what can be seen or felt. We need proof and evidence; the un-trained mind is not able to process the information otherwise. So if we don’t see it, we don’t believe it. And to top it off, it’s easier to believe negative things than to put your faith in something good.
I grew up in a scarce energy environment, where everything was limited. With time and daily practice, I live in the area somewhere between Abundance and Abundance with limits. I feel abundant in areas like, job opportunities, general welfare & security, attracting the good people in my life, attracting resources in my life exactly when I need them, etc. For the rest its work in progress!
I had to make a choice to either live in a state of abundance or a state of scarcity. Believing in shortage will create shortage; just live believing in Abundance will create abundance. I had free will to make that choice and I choose to look for evidence of abundance. And over time, that is what I experience in my immediate reality.

How do you NUMB the bad feelings?
Those of you that know me personally know that I was overweight as a teenager and continued to be like that till college. My relationship with food was complex to say the least. From a very early age, I was offered food (mostly chocolates & cookies) in lieu of what I really wanted to do or express.
I have to admit, as a child I did enjoy bargaining for ice-cream instead of chips when I hurt myself or when I brother would tease me...yum!
If you are familiar with the Law of Attraction, Feelings play a crucial role in the process of manifesting what you want.
For a Deliberate Creator, feelings are a barometer in understanding whether your current thoughts are self serving or not.
When you aren’t feeling too good, you know your thoughts are flowing against the current and you are heading where you don’t want to go. For Deliberate Creators, being aware of their feelings is an excellent tool to manifest.
Your feelings indicate your alignment with Source. Once you understanding how to read your feelings, you can change your thoughts by applying the principles of Law of Attraction to steer your life in the direction that you please.
So how do you numb your feelings? What is your preference in avoiding Feeling the Feeling?
Feelings and emotions, even the so called bad ones, are good. They let you know that you are an intelligent, expanding being, someone who is connected to the Source. And the bad feelings provide the much needed contrast to create a unique life experience for you, NOW.

This has been my latest phrase in my journey of gratitude. Saw a movie last year, ‘Happy Thankyou MorePlease’. I have attached the link to the scene where the lead explains Gratitude. I loved the phrase so much that I have used it since.

We all know the importance of ‘Gratitude’ as expressed in anything Law of attraction and there are lots of exercises and activities that allow you to practice your skills for being grateful.

"It is too important that you are grateful for everything in your life. Many people focus on the one thing they want and then forget to be grateful for all things they have. Without gratitude you cannot achieve anything through the law of attraction, because if you are not emanating gratitude from your being, then by default you are emanating ungratefulness. Be proactive and use the frequency of your being to receive what you want."
"We can never bring anything to us unless we are grateful for what we have. In fact, if somebody was completely and utterly for everything they would never have to ask for anything because it would be given to them before they even asked. That is the power of Gratitude."

I forget sometimes to acknowledge the miracles that happen in my life – they seem like everyday things, which is why it’s easy for it to go unnoticed. And that is the behaviour I am trying to change.
When something is going our way, we should take the time to focus on that energy. 10 seconds will do the trick. That’s not a lot is it? And I have noticed, every time I do that, it manages to lift my energy for hours together. It puts me in a really good mood and I am able to work through hours and hours in joy.
So now, every time, I notice something working my way, I say out loud – Thank you! More Please!

Gratitude takes practice – initially atleast. And when you do practice it, you will realize how fabulous your life is already. The grass is greener on this side!
