I was attending a workshop a few days ago, were I met 2 university students(who know I am writing this) who reminded me why I love to do what I do. Let me give you a few words to describe these beauties, twinkle in thier eyes, curious, attentive, energetic and brimming with ideas. Prefect!
As I interacted with them over the next few days, I could feel the sheer potential that lay within them. A combination of good core values and passion. They shared with me their recent experience where they has tried something new and they eventually realized that’s not what they want to be and that’s not how they want their lives to turn out. Deliberate creators might read these and say, ‘Ok what’s new?’ As did I. Until, I sensed a tone of disappointment in their voice. I quickly realized they were judging themselves for ‘deviating from the path’. Think the words used was ‘going off track’. Off track?! Woo Hoo! Off track is good, I said to them. It’s because of the ‘off track’ that we recognize the ‘on track’. Contrast is a good thing. It helps us make a list of things we love and helps is identify what lights our fire. The girls have agreed, moving forward they will not judge any situation and when they do experience contrast, they will thank it and move forward... skipping into the sunset, like they normally do. My role as a coach allows me to bring, what I believe are simple techniques to find a better feeling thought to individuals who might feel stuck or might be struggling, get to a place where they can realize their dreams. A big shout out to everyone who has given me the honour to work with them, to unlock their potential. Can I hear a woo hoo for the ‘Off track’ ....?!

the times I have been "off track" were at times painful or uncomfortable, however, the aftermath beautiful...I just had to get through or accept where I temporarily was and attempt to learn something from it!

Absolutely Lori! And for the most part we feel uncomfortable because we are listening to the logical side of ourselves or to others opinion of the event.
