What rejecting love looks like...

We tend to be pretty good are visualizing and creating intentions for what we want. And then we wait. We wait for it to show up as if to say a big ball is going to hit your head and announce, 'Hey! What you asked for is here!' ​

That's NOT how that works. 

We unknowingly might be hindering our own progress and creating blocks for the good stuff to flow in. 

So I sat down to introspect how some of my actions might be blocking love, abundance, and acceptance to flow in. Here's a list based on my experience of that misalignment. ​

  1. When I look into the mirror and don't like parts of what I see
  2. When I check my phone in the middle of a conversation
  3. When my response to a compliment is pointing to something that didn’t work
  4. When I say I am fine when I am not
  5. When I let people change plans on me and stay quiet about the inconvenience it causes me
  6. When I reach for my phone the first thing in the morning without connecting with myself, my loved ones
  7. When I give things away only so that people will like me
  8. When I hide how hurt I am just to appear strong and not affected by it all
  9. When I don't forgive and let go, to keep the illusion of taking a higher ground
  10. When I scold myself for choosing two carb dishes
  11. When I don’t look into the eyes of the person I am speaking with
  12. When I don't take a call from family or friends because I am 'not in the mood'
  13. When I don't celebrate the little wins
  14. When I carefully choose the number of times I show up for someone because that's what marketing guru's say
  15. When I wait an appropriate amount of time to reply just so that I don't come off as eager
  16. When I choose the extent of my vulnerability so that I seem in control and wise
  17. When I present myself only when things are perfect
  18. When I don't pick up the phone and call because the situation is a bit awkward and will require work
  19. When I compare myself. Period.
  20. When I don't spend every day with purpose but do what is expected
  21. When I do something  only to be validated by others
  22. When I live a half-life and am not OK with who I am
  23. When what others think of me is more important than me feeling good
  24. When I show no patience for myself, my learning curve and struggles
  25. When I take for granted someone's support for me 
  26. When I walk into a situation with judgment, expecting the worst
  27. When I don't say I love you or I miss you because I fear it won't be reciprocated
  28. When I don't ask for what I need, for help and for support
  29. And all those times I called myself stupid, fat, ugly, a nobody, useless, not good enough, not clever enough, and the other names that were so readily available at the tip of my tongue.

If you want a particular thing in your life, you have to start being and living it. Right now. 

Actions lead to feelings, that lead to quality of thoughts, that further lead to instructions to the universe to send more of it. 

So if you work on the quality of your thoughts but are on repeat actions that lead to different instructions, you are going to go in circles and wonder why things aren't changing!
