There was once a beautiful lotus, bright and healthy. It had a 100 petals to boast and had the most unique, luxurious fragrance. Everyone that laid eyes on it fell in love and admired the purity and divinity it had come to project. This fully grown lotus was now self-aware and began to comprehend what it had become, what it was becoming and what it represented. It started to interact with its environment in a new, confident way and couldn't believe the grace within it. In the process of self-inspection, it noticed that its stem reached far into the mud below. It looked at the mud and saw dark, murky waters. Its roots were dug deep into unclear still water surrounded by insects, fish, muck and rough conditions. This realization upset the lotus. How could one so beautiful still be associated with one so dirty and filthy? Oh yes, the lotus looked down upon the mud in more than one way. It started to find fault with the mud, suggesting and demanding that the mud change its ways. Clean up its act and become worthy of the association. The mud around the lotus tried, some of it cleaned itself, some of it suppressed itself far out of sight. Parts of the lotus were now in pure clean water but the lotus was not happy. The mud kept surfacing, it was in a continuous state of confusion and so was the lotus. Over time, the lotus withered away and died. It was the only one that didn't live to see another season. The other lotuses flourished and went on to feed and heal so many. Every other lotus except this one lived for thousands of years. A lotus that doesn't appreciate mud isn't going to thrive or survive. A lotus that demands and insists the mud change itself instead of focusing on just being won't fulfil its purpose.
In our lives 'the mud' represents our past actions, where we come from, who we were, other conscious beings that coexist or situations that have come to pass or may come to pass in the future.
'The mud' has a part to play in our becoming. It is connected to us but we are not it. Mistaking ourselves to be interchangeable leads to lowering of our personal energy and obstructing not only ourselves but also 'the mud' form fulfilling its cosmic purpose. Call it contrast or karmic seeds, 'the mud' in our lives are great teachers and guides if we let them be. They can be nourishing and a form of protection if we allow them to be what they are without getting entangled with their existence. Each of us is the lotus and each of us come from 'the mud'. Our daily practice should be only in showing up to fulfil our purpose, in bettering ourselves, in healing and being of service to others. Which lotus will you be? The one that doesn't see another season or the ones that live a thousand years and flourish. Written with Love, Ruby Write in to set up coaching sessions and we can do this together!

Hello and Namaste, from Pune, India!
It's being the month of ideas, making decisions and happy reunions. We are settling in, Seek is doing exceptionally well and I am brimming with potential projects. Have you had that experience when inspiration strikes, possibilities are revealed and the urge to jump right-in takes over? I've been living that for the last few weeks. To a point where I couldn't wait for linear time to move at its pace so that everything I see so clearly can manifest. Which is why I need to talk about something that, in the past, I've ignored. Ignored because I was too caught up in the high of the inspiration, too busy taking action, and too excited to revel in the good things that showed up. That something is the energy of Forgiveness. I'm calling it The Forgotten Fire Starter. I've written about forgiveness before but what I now know if that this energy is most important when starting something new. Whether you are starting a new job, new school, new life, new clients, new business, moving houses, new relationships, changing your habits... The list is endless. Our manifestations come from the energies that are within us, energies that are attached to our consciousness. It is what fuels our creations. When we are riding the high of inspiration and new ideas, it is easy to miss grudges and resentment we hold for the present situation or for the people that caused a chain of reactions that pushed us to explore. For example,
Whatever the situation, the new shiny thing that's coming our way is fueled by the intention and feelings we hold within us right now. Intention and feelings for not just what we want but also towards what we perceive to have 'happened to us', for what we believe 'caused the change'. If we perceive what happened to us as bad, then we unknowingly hold the energies of grudge, fear, dislike, anger and of being powerless. The universe, the life energy doesn't distinguish between 'good' and 'bad' intention or feeling. It only responds with the matching energies and creates the situations and opportunities to serve your call. Many, including me, have missed understanding this at the time of creating something new. Ask yourself this: Are you holding a grudge towards something or someone? Do you feel like you were tricked, pushed or forced into creating something new? Do you place blame on someone or something for the situation you find yourself in? Are you placing an expectation of behaviour on someone else so that your new creation can succeed? Yes to any or all of these means there is an opportunity to introspect and weed out the lower energies. And that's where Forgiveness plays the main role. The energy of Forgiveness has the potency of divine love. It is so powerful that engaging this energy opens up your connection to the infinite, it causes the divinity to reside within you. Forgiving someone, or the situation opens up space for more goodness to walk into your life. It releases you from the energy draining link to the past and to that 'bad' other. Thus allowing you to only fuel from inspiration, creativity and love. I am spending some time working on forgiveness. Forgiving people and situations. I hope you do too! You can contact me for initial readings and consult for free, as a way for me to show gratitude to you. You that keep reading and spending time in this space. The daily practice of showing up in love and service of others is terribly easy when interacting with amiable, likeable folks. It's easy when we face no resistance or when we don't have our motives questioned. It's easy when we are always surrounded by people who love us, look up to us or when we are their last hope.
But to remain kind in our thoughts and actions when these ideal conditions do not exist requires special attention. Kindness, in it's purest form, is an action/interaction stemming from the heart, that expresses the energy of love, peace and tranquillity. As such, all actions of kindness are ways to bring the energy of love, peace and tranquillity to the situation, person or living being. But how can we show loving, kind thoughts or do a kind deed when we are faced with cruelty, indifference or an uncaring attitude? Before we answer that question, it's worth remembering that the practice of kindness has different levels. To begin with, pure kindness can only be practised or shown to others when we have learned to be kind to ourselves. We need to hold within us loving, peaceful and tranquil thoughts. We need to be self-aware of how we feel about ourselves. Only then will we stay true in our practice and our internal intention will match the actual act of kindness. Therefore, the first level of practising kindness is always towards self. The next level of practising kindness is where most of us operate. The kindness that is shown when certain ideal conditions are met. Being kind to like-minded people, kind actions towards a cause we believe in, or being kind when we aren't faced with other pressing matters. This is a good place to land on because it gives us the practical experience of the energy and shows us how much of an impact we can make to our immediate realities. This brings us to the main question about practising kindness from a place of love and tranquillity when conditions are less than ideal. It's not enough that the outward action is kind but it must be internally matched by the energy of kindness. To get us internally aligned with the energy of kindness when faced with cruelty, we use a process called 'Remembering Kindness' Quite simply, we take a few minutes to remember the kindness that has been shown to us in the past. By our friends, teachers, or strangers. Take that moment to reflect on how these kind acts helped us when we were feeling down, scared, or hopeless. Think about how a selfless act protected, comforted, and relieved us of our discomfort, pain or suffering. Think of all those acts done by others that allow us to live and thrive, the countless people we may never know about and even more we may never meet. Remembering Kindness is a way of showing gratitude to all those acts of kindness that have got us this far, to this moment. It is a way thinking on the gift of nurturing energy that continuously flows to us. It is a way of rejoicing in the knowledge that there is always someone that has shown up for us when we needed it the most. Through the practice of Remembering Kindness, we can continue to evolve from within, strengthen the love we feel and learn to connect to the 'humanity' of the situation. This way we release our personal dislike about the situation or person in front of us and proceed to act from a place of love, peace and tranquillity! Here's to you conjuring up this magic the next time it seems difficult to be kind. Written with Love Ruby PS: You don't have to do this alone. ***** Last week we did The unnecessary habit of Self Sabotage. This week we are looking at how to Intention In a New Identity. Self Identity, the what and who we 'think' we are, is a HUGE player in not only what we manifest but also how we interact with the manifestations. Most of us have an idea of what we'd like to become, what we hope to manifest into. But I think we fall short for mainly two reasons: One, we do little to nothing to inch towards what we'd like to become and stay in the old patterns that got us there. And two, we might be all over the place with our thoughts and have too many conflicting realities that we try to focus on. For the first pitfall, we have the Self Sabotage challenge to help us break out of self-defeating actions. For the second, we are going to spend this week getting clarity on the 'Identity' we are wanting to be and amping up the energy associated with it. Here's what you need to do for the challenge:
It's the Time for the Little Wins! The little win is all about narrowing the focus to two areas of our lives where we want to attract change. Why only two? Because we don't want to repeat the pattern of taking on too much and being all over the place. We tackle two, make a shift, then take on two more... Chip away at the mountain. This is a surer way to achieve success in levelling up the energy work. Clarity and Amping up our Energy. That's what we are after. Just For the week: It's Monday and we have six days to go. So just for this week, your mission, is to spend 5-10 minutes each day visualizing the new identity, the reality that will manifest and the emotions that you'd have if that new identity were true. Just this week. For six more days. During the week, make a note of any inspired action you took or any good thing that happened as a result of the visualization. That's it. Write down what you saw unfold during the day as you visualized your intentions. ****** I hope you have fun with this assignment this week and you get to experience the little wins! I am going to send you something next week, which will further our levelling up exercise. Yes, you can share with me what you have identified, follow up questions and of course your little wins too! Over the next few weeks, a series of emails aims at bringing you on a journey with me to level up our skills, confidence, performance and happiness.
This week is we looking at The unnecessary habit of Self Sabotage. This one is such a common habit that most people may not even realize that they are stuck in a pattern that won't allow them to be successful or happy! Take this short quiz to find out if you fall under the umbrella of a Self Saboteur.
How many of these behaviours (or variations) do you currently do? Answer truthfully, this is an important step. Are you a Self-Saboteur? Choose one. Yes / No / Room for Improvement If it's a No, then woohoo and congratulations on doing a fabulous job at keeping your focus on living life as it comes. At being all that you can be, at showing up and trying each day and allowing yourself the chance to make a difference! You are my hero! (You can stop reading now, until the next email! :) ) For the rest of us who fall under this wide umbrella of self-sabotage, we tend to be quite aware that we are getting in our way. In that moment, we know these actions are going to bring us the same outcome but we do it anyway. It's easier to follow the known pattern of failure, blame and self-pity than to travel the world of the unknown route of getting what we want. Imagine actually getting that contract, or having a full workshop sign up, or a book deal, or losing that weight, getting a business loan, getting the promotion to run the department... It can be a daunting thought, with a lot of potential unknowns, and a lot of people watching if you fail or succeed. Too much work, too much pressure, too much of a limelight...! It is this crossroad that sends most of us into the Self Sabotage mode. So, you and me, we are going to break this cycle. Why? Because, life is short, your talents and skills are unique and someone needs you to show up at your best. It's the Time for the Little Wins! The next step for you would be to identify your top self-sabotage action. The one habit that you know is not serving you, that you do almost on a daily basis and the one that you scold yourself about. Got it? Good! Just For the week: It's Monday and we have six days to go. So just for this week, your mission, nay, promise, is to not indulge in the action/habit you have identified. Just this week. For six more days. During the week, make a note of what happened when you didn't follow through with the Self-Sabotaging action. That's it. Write down what you saw unfold when you didn't do what you normally do. ****** I hope you have fun with this assignment this week and you get to experience the little wins! I am going to send you something next week, which will further our levelling up exercise. Yes, you can share with me what you have identified, follow up questions and of course your little wins too! We usually think of temptation as something that, if followed through, is wrong or inappropriate. It's the external force that holds power over us and as a result, we do things that we rather not. And we would be partially correct. Temptation actual means a desire to do something... I'd take that further by defining temptation as a desire to be, feel, think or do something. It's the energy that nudges us one way or another. There are lots of 'good' reasons to be tempted and those serve us well. But this entry is about addressing why they show up in our realities, and specifically addressing those that we, as individuals, consider 'wrong'. Conscious Creators practice creating realities and achieving alignment through self-improvement. So it seems like a bummer when situations show up in our physical realities that seem to push us to the opposite end of where we would like to be. For example, here are some of mine:
So why does temptation, especially for things that we are trying to change, show up at the most inopportune time? As conscious creators, who work with the natural laws of energy and the universe, what are we to think of the quality of our practice? The progress in our deliberate creation skills? How should we interpret temptation? To make peace with this energy, first, we need to understand how our reality is shaped. Whatever exists in our current reality, is a result of our thoughts, feelings and actions in the past. This means the current reality is the effect of an event or cause that has already occurred. The second thing that impacts our reality, is the experience or journey our individual soul is supposed to have in order for its evolution. Our individual soul, although a part of the larger consciousness, has a specific part to play in the larger scheme of things. So our reality consists of manifestations that we actively create in this life AND situations that are playing out as part of our soul's journey. If we look at temptations within this framework, we can see the role they play in our overall experience. Temptations are nothing but an opportunity to practice a certain skill that will enhance our experience and help us fulfil our journey. It is also a result of something we've created in the past and the current manifestation is a closing of the loop. If something is showing up again and again, it means we still have something to learn, in the case of temptation, we still need to master a particular skill. When temptations show up, we have a choice to act differently. And when we do we close off the loop of previous creations. The next time we are faced with such an energy, with practice, we can receive it with kindness and act on it wisely!

This year the new moon falls on Thursday, 19th October 2017. To make the most of this new year, here is a list of five things we can do to make the most of the energy and ride into the new year.
Do each of these things to align your energy just in time for the New Moon. Wish you and your loved ones a very Happy Diwali and a Joyous and Prosperous New Year. Written with Love Ruby Do not hesitate to contact me if you'd like to get support clearing the energy. Whether it is our jobs, relationships, social status, finances or faith and spirituality, we all hope to be abundant. What we hope to achieve is an easy and constant in-flow of whatever it is we are wanting in our life. Loving friendships, deep love, money, career growth, more clients, connection to god/divine. You name it and we all have something that we want to have in large quantities. And the good news is that the universe has the ability to deliver this to each of us. No matter what we want, all of it can be delivered into our reality. The state of abundance as an energy is bountiful, ample, liberal, generous, and overflowing. Most of us, however, are attempting to create a state of abundance from a state that is anything but. Disturbed, troubled, fearful, anxious, worried are some of the words that come to mind. When our energy is that noisy, how can we hope to create a state of abundance with ease? Abundance and Prosperity always follows a state of peacefulness. The state of peacefulness is an energy that brings with it composure and steadiness; a cordial and tranquil environment. Like an undistributed background upon which anything is possible. When we are in a state of peacefulness, our thoughts aren't helter-skelter, they aren't scattered and aren't hastily looking for a way to calm down. In a state of peacefulness, we can truly be free to create our realities with gusto. Everyone who is abundant in any area of their lives has one thing in common, they aren't anxious or fearful or in doubt about that particular area. There are questions or challenges, sure. But it is faced with a kind of steadiness that can only be experienced in a state of peacefulness. So, if you want to be abundant in something, figure out how to be peaceful first. ***
